INSTRUCTIONAL CONTINUITY
In response to the emerging outbreak of COVID-19, Binom will provide immediate access to its remote learning platform to help faculty members and tutors transition online to support their students.
VIDEO [2:00MN]: TAKING CLASSES ONLINE
We know that many of you are looking for solutions that can be quickly adopted by your faculty members as well as your students. Our goal is to minimize the impact of this crisis and ensure continuity of instruction. We are also aware of the fact that many students may not have fast internet access or sophisticated devices to access their classes online — the digital divide. There is no need to have devices and bandwidth that can support video conferencing. All students can have access to online classes on our platform as long as they have a smartphone and a regular internet connection.
We also made it simple for instructors: they list their course on the platform, provide a dial-in number, share a PDF presentation before the start of each class, and connect live with students. All chat conversations are time-stamped and archived. Instructors and students can communicate synchronously and asynchronously without losing track of the conversation.
